The Wedding Story
Three days designed as one continuous experience.
Our journey with Ceri and Zach began in January 2025 with a clear ambition: to create a sophisticated black-tie wedding in Tuscany that balanced architectural grandeur with the intimacy and warmth of an Italian gathering.
Their celebration was never intended to exist as a single formal day. It was conceived as a complete wedding weekend: a relaxed Tuscan pizza night, an elegant legal ceremony and black-tie reception, followed by a joyful poolside farewell.
Every event had its own atmosphere, but all three were connected by one creative direction. Planning, design, guest flow, photography and film were developed together rather than treated as separate services.
The Vision
Black-tie elegance without losing the ease of Tuscany.
Ceri and Zach wanted a wedding that felt elevated, timeless and visually precise, but never cold. Their interpretation of luxury was based on restraint: strong architecture, considered timing, refined hospitality and carefully selected details.
Tenuta di Monaciano offered the ideal framework. Its formal gardens, panoramic terrace, amphitheatre, historic interiors and monumental façade allowed each part of the weekend to have its own identity while remaining connected to the same place.
Day One · The Tuscan Welcome
A pizza night designed to turn arrivals into connection.
The wedding weekend began in the rustic courtyard of the villa. Guests arrived to a setting that felt informal but carefully composed: warm evening light, traditional pizza, cocktails and authentic Italian music.
Accordion, guitar and live vocals created the energy of a genuine Tuscan gathering. The welcome party allowed guests to settle into the destination, meet naturally and begin the weekend without the formality of the wedding day.
Day Two · The Wedding Day
Minimal chic, quiet luxury and a celebration shaped around experience.
The Legal Ceremony
A civil ceremony framed by the natural architecture of the estate.
Tenuta di Monaciano allowed Ceri and Zach to hold their legally recognised civil ceremony directly on the property. The vows took place in the estate’s romantic amphitheatre.
The floral concept was deliberately restrained. White flowers were placed only where they could frame the couple and support the architecture. Nothing competed with the emotional weight of the ceremony or the beauty already present in the setting.
The Panoramic Aperitivo
A pause between ceremony and dinner, overlooking the Tuscan hills.
After the ceremony, guests moved toward the panoramic spaces of the estate for cocktails and aperitivo. Live music preserved the elegance of the ceremony while allowing the atmosphere to become more relaxed.
This transition was central to the guest experience. It created time for conversation, portraits and a gradual change of mood before the formal black-tie dinner began.
Dinner in Front of the Villa
Quiet luxury beneath the illuminated façade of Tenuta di Monaciano.
The main reception was arranged directly in front of the villa. Round guest tables formed a semicircle around a grand imperial table, giving Ceri and Zach a clear view across the entire dinner.
A crisp white palette, refined stationery, restrained florals and dozens of candles created a sense of quiet luxury. Warm string lights and architectural uplighting transformed the formal façade into an intimate setting for eighty guests.
The Highlight
A cake cutting designed as the visual climax of the dinner.
The cake cutting was positioned on the central axis of the villa and coordinated with a wall of cold spark fountains. Lighting, technical production, guest position and photographic access were planned together before the moment began.
This is where the connection between planning and photography becomes visible. The scene was created to feel spectacular to the guests while remaining visually balanced from every important perspective.
The Party
Black-tie formality gave way to movement, colour and energy.
After dinner, the celebration moved indoors beneath a shimmering disco ball. The architectural calm of the earlier evening was replaced by a more immediate visual language: movement, saturated light, spontaneous reactions and a packed dance floor.
The first dance created the transition. From there, the evening became an uninhibited celebration that remained visually connected to the atmosphere established throughout the day.
Day Three · The Poolside Farewell
Barefoot, relaxed and surrounded by the people who had shared the weekend.
Sunday deliberately changed the tone. Guests gathered beside the pool for an informal farewell supported by the Brindapino food truck, cold drinks and a much slower rhythm.
The pool party completed the emotional arc of the weekend. What had begun with black-tie anticipation ended as a shared holiday among friends. Not a single bite of food or drop of prosecco remained.
